Jhamar of Tarria (*17 Horisal 766 on Tarria) is a 55-year-old half Air Genasi on her mother's side and half Goliath on her father's side. Her family still lives on Tarria, except for her older brother Phelan who moved to Emon decades ago. She is married to Tovahra and had two children with her: Ravanu, who sadly died when she was only 8, and Unavar.

She is one of Darrath'Tarria's two Earth Guardians.

Jhamar was born as a boy and a very active, wild kid full of curiosity and an urge for movement. While Jhamar didn’t mind being labeled a boy, with hitting puberty she realized she absolutely did not want to become a man, but being a boy who matured into a woman felt exactly right.

Jhamar and Tovahra already met as children, and over the course of their friendship - which required significant effort on Jhamar’s part - they helped each other overcome life’s first hurdles. Tovahra eased Jhamar’s restless energy by discovering that she liked roughhousing while in the shape of an animal and gained more confidence through it, while Jhamar learned to reign in impulsivity and how to be more considerate.

Nowadays, Jhamar is far more level-headed most of the time. She’s a witty woman who enjoys being a little bit dramatic sometimes and using the occasional flirty comment just to get a rise out of people. Mostly her wife, though. Finding ways to catch Tovahra off guard and break through her stoic demeanor is Jhamar’s favorite pastime.

Her light-hearted disposition and benevolent smile stand in stark contrast to the many scars across her body; her towering and muscular form, her role as Earth Guardian, and the combination of it all is her very own brand of intimidation. Jhamar isn’t necessarily a people person but is infinitely more willing to socialize than her wife. She likes the company of people she deems pleasant or interesting, but she also values her quiet time.

There’s a spark to her, and not only the scars on her body but also the lines between her brows tell of how hard it has sometimes been to keep it alight, though the lines around the corner of her eyes prove that she has always managed, however dim it may have gotten.

Jhamar is a very tall and muscular woman, with both her Goliath and Air Genasi heritage being very apparent. Not quite as tall as a full Goliath, but she's definitely got more impressive hair, her mom's delicate facial features, and also the Air Genasi benefit of aging a little more slowly. Like her wife, Jhamar looks to be in her mid-40's in human years.

• Jhamar likes to do pottery in her leisure time. Mugs, plates, and bowls, and she loves incorporating whimsical nature imagery into her designs.
• She is an avid and almost weekly participant in the Thurum'daan and pretty much considers it part of the training regimen for her recruits.
  Because she would win almost all the matches if she was intent on it, and the main appeal to her is creating a great performance, most of the time her goal is to lose as dramatically as possible and uplift the confidence of her opponents.
