Tovahra of Darrath (*Brussendar 20th, 766 on Darrath) is a 56-year-old Orc, though there is some small percentage of elvish from her father's side. Both of her parents died when she was very young, and she was raised partially by her uncle, partially by the community, and honestly also partially by herself. She is married to Jhamar and had two children with her: Ravanu, who sadly died when she was only 8, and Unavar.

She is one of Darrath'Tarria's three Primordial Guardians.

Tovahra has always been a rather withdrawn individual who prefers the company of animals and plants over that of most other humanoids. As a child, she was quite shy in her aloofness - nowadays, you can’t miss her confidence even in her reserved demeanor. It takes her a long time to warm up to someone, though not due to inherent mistrust but just disinterest. She is very insightful and usually accurate in her quick assessments of others, but she simply has no desire for casual connections and prefers quality over quantity in her interactions with people. However, it’s important to note that Tovahra is always composed, never rude or brash, and doesn’t raise her voice. In general, Tovahra doesn’t talk much, only when necessary, and sometimes just uses gestures instead of words when they’re sufficient.

To lovingly tease her, her wife Jhamar enjoys ascribing adverbs to Tovahra’s states of calm, like "obnoxiously calm" when she’s irritated, "stoic calm" when she’s neutral about an interaction, and "contentedly calm" on the rare occasion she enjoys someone’s company - which is mostly hers, of course. And it’s true - Jhamar is one of the few people Tovahra enjoys being around. A strong and capable warrior, Jhamar claims her greatest and most hard-won power is the ability to make Tovahra smile occasionally. Faintly. A statement that has even made Tovahra roll her eyes with fond exasperation.

She is a lot softer and does smile more easily around her wife and daughter. Tovahra is just incredibly private about her personal life and keeps it separate from her role as a Primordial Guardian. She goes as far as to consider that role as not herself, just an entity she represents.

With how few people she actually allows to know her, a lot of them would describe her as a very clinical person with few emotions. In truth it’s quite the contrary; they are just very controlled, carefully stowed away inside, and personal tragedies have crippled her ability and willingness to bring them out. Her blasé front hides a lot of old pain and constant anxiety and worry for her little family.

Despite still being quite tall, Tovahra is more on the smaller side for an Orc and less broad than most. Just from her appearance alone, her age is difficult to pin down, as her hair started graying early. And yet, most strangers have been guessing her to be in her mid-40s for years by now. With druidic magic slowing the rate of her aging, she hasn't much changed in years.
